Cheernook is a place to post a personal goal and let people you know send small gifts and notes. This page is what we collect, why, and how you can ask us to stop.
What we keep
When you create an account we store your name, email, a handle, an optional bio, and sign-in details from Google, X, or email. Goals, progress updates, comments, cheers, and reminder preferences are stored with your account.
Cheers record an amount and an optional note. Until payouts are connected, that amount is a record of support on the goal — not a bank transfer.
What we don’t sell
We do not sell your data. We do not show ads. We do not scan your goals to train public models. Public goals can be seen by anyone with the link or on Discover; link-only goals are visible to people who have the URL.
On your phone
If you turn on phone alerts, the device may show a reminder when you open Cheernook and a goal has gone quiet. You can switch that off under You. Adding Cheernook to the iPhone Home Screen stores an icon on the device; it does not give us extra access to your photos or contacts.
Keeping and deleting
We keep account and goal data while you use Cheernook. Sign out from You. To delete an account or a goal, write from Support — we’ll remove what we hold that identifies you, except records we must keep for security or law.
