Cheernook

Terms

Updated August 25, 2026

By using Cheernook you agree to these terms. Cheernook is for personal goals and optional pledges between people who already know each other — not a charity, not a bank, and not a fundraiser for strangers. Paid pledges are processed by Stripe. Cheernook keeps 15% and pays the rest (after Stripe’s card fee) to the person who posted the goal.

Your goals, your words

You own what you post. You grant Cheernook a license to host and display it so the people you invite can see it. Don’t post anything unlawful, hateful, or about someone who didn’t agree to be here. We may take down a goal or an account that breaks that.

Cheers

A cheer is an optional gift from one person to another. It is not payment for digital content, and it is not a donation to Cheernook. When card checkout is on, Cheernook keeps 15% of the pledge. Stripe’s ordinary card fee comes out of the remaining 85%. The rest is paid to the person who posted the goal, through their connected Stripe account. They must connect payouts on You before cheers can be charged.

The service

Cheernook is provided as-is. We may change features, pause the service, or close an account that harms other people. You use Cheernook at your own risk. These terms are governed by the laws of California, USA, except where your local consumer law says otherwise.
